Savoury Breakfast

This is less of a recipe and more of a template of how a simple weekday breakfast might look.

It’s savoury which is a great way to set you up for balanced blood sugar throughout the day. It’s also full of fibre, healthy fats and protein to keep you full until lunch and keep cravings at bay.

⁃ Seed bread (I like Seedful/Heart of Nature or Dillon organic which you can order online. Alternatively you could have Rye bread which is higher in carbs but higher in nutrients than most refined flour breads) I like mine with a bit of grass fed Kerry gold butter or drizzle of extra virgin olive oil

⁃  1/2 an avocado

⁃  2 eggs (boiled, scrambled, poached) I like to add in some herbs to scrambled eggs for extra flavour.

Additions:

  • Avocado

  • Rocket

  • Spinach

  • Smoked salmon

  • Tomato

  • Humous

  • Kimchi or saurkraut

  • Toasted seeds (I like pumpkin, hemp, sesame, sunflower, flax, chia)

  • Herbs - I like basil, parsley or corriander
